 The White Horse in an olde village pub that over the last twenty years or so has built up a reputation for good home cooked food. The building is much bigger than at first appears, the recent addition of new kitchens and the gallery has given the opportunity to enlarge the menu and the range of services that can be offered.
Wines play an important part at the White Horse where quality and cost has been married to provide an extensive but reasonably priced wine list. Food is available at all times during normal opening hours. On the social scene the pub hosts the occasional Jazz & Dinner Night, details of which can be found on our events page. The pub plays an integral part in the life of the village and Mike & Jan Smail the licensees, along with their friendly team make sure your visit is an experience you'll want to repeat again and again. The White Horse is the ideal venue for anniversary celebrations, club dinners and business gatherings.
The open studded partitions between the rooms means that any size of party, from a small group or one of up to a hundred or so, feel the same sense of cosy intimacy engendered by the open fires and timber beams.
The garden can accommodate a marquee to give covered space for larger functions.
We can seat up to 60 persons or for a buffet style function, we can cater for up to 100.
During the warmer months you can take advantage of the attractive beer garden, where occasionally they hold BBQ's, weather permitting.
A permanent exhibition of watercolour and oil paintings by local artists is available for viewing with many for sale.
We also sell, gifts, cards, condiments, sweet wines, Suffolk glass, second hand books and collectables.
There is also a coffee shop for morning coffee and afternoon tea which is open all year round.
